Water Filtering – P3

Today, our P3 students took part in a fascinating water-filtering experiment! Using simple materials like plastic bottles, sand, pebbles, and cotton, they worked together to build their own water filters. Each group had the chance to layer different materials inside their bottles to create filters that could trap dirt, particles, and impurities in water, making it look much cleaner by the end.

This activity wasn’t just fun—it helped our students learn the basics of water filtration and how natural elements can be used to purify water. They also got a taste of real-life science as they observed how each layer in the filter played a role. Sand and pebbles caught larger particles, while cotton and finer materials helped remove smaller ones. Through this hands-on experiment, students discovered the importance of clean water and how filters can be used to make dirty water safer to use.
